When commissioned to design this piece I was briefed to create a design that reflected the phrase, "The world is a messed up place, but we are still going to enjoy it". This contrasting tone has been reflected within the design using a distorted aesthetic in the visual imagery, through the use of a smashed mirror, showcasing the persevering beauty of the rose despite the distortion.
This composition centres around a bold 'Calson CC' serif typeface, spaced evenly across the design, with a bold colour scheme that reflects the contrasting shift between elegance and melancholic tones within the design.
